By adding your fresh ingredients to a jar of salsa makes the whole salsa taste fresh but it's thicker and has more substance to it. Anytime you roast a vegetable it makes it a hundred times better. Roasting brings out the sweetness and more flavor from the vegetable. A roasted vegetable salsa is a huge upgrade from just a fresh salsa.
