Once you try this applesauce, you'll never go back to the store-bought version?I guarantee! Be sure to use pure maple syrup, 'cause pancake syrup just won't do in here.
What You'll Need
- 12 large Granny Smith apples (about 5-1/2 pounds)
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup honey
What to Do
- Peel, core, and cut apples into 1-1/2-inch chunks. Place in a large bowl. Stir in lemon juice and remaining ingredients. Place mixture in a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on HIGH setting 4 hours. Stir until desired consistency. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 1 week.

Maybe tasty, but seems to me to have a lot of sugary ingredients in it.
