FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mr. Food® helping to find "Hope for Tomorrow"

Ft. Lauderdale, FL (March 5, 2007) — Mr. Food, America's beloved quick 'n' easy television food personality, once again joined the national cast of celebrities and shining stars to find "Hope for Tomorrow" for the 45th Annual Variety Club Telethon in Buffalo, New York. This locally produced telethon, which is the longest running telethon in the world, aired on WKBW-TV from 10:00 p.m. March 3 to 7:00 p.m. March 4.

Each year, through their telethon, the Variety Club reaches out to the people of Western New York, Western Pennsylvania, and Southern Ontario to ask for help in their mission to serve the special needs of underprivileged children in the region.

For 45 years, the telethon has been a great force behind several organizations in the area. And with the generous support of volunteers like Mr. Food, who has been a part of the event for 16 years, the Variety Club continues to receive tremendous community support. "The public came through for our children once again this year," reports Richard Goldstein, Executive Director. "One of our most successful programs is our Corporate Match. Viewers wait to donate because their dollars are doubled. Every candy bar, every raffle ticket, every bake sale, and different fund raisers all count towards the total. We need and appreciate all those events which help the kids."

A majority of this year's funds will go toward a new state-of-the-art pharmacy at Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo. The remaining amount will be directed to the continued assistance of special children in need.
