- COOK TIME
- 10 Min
Easy and VERY yummy, these sesame cheese wafers are a Mr. Food family favorite. We know they'll be one of yours, too!
What You'll Need
- 1/2 (15-ounce) package refrigerated piecrusts
- 1 1/2 cup (6 ounces) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds, toasted
- 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1 to 2 teaspoons ice water
What to Do
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Process first 4 ingredients in a food processor bowl 30 seconds.
- Add ice water (1 teaspoon at a time) through food chute with processor running; process just until dough begins to form a ball and leaves sides of bowl. Cover and chill 30 minutes.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place 2-inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
- Flatten each ball in a crisscross pattern with a fork dipped in flour. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
Notes
A refrigerated pie crust makes these wafers super easy to make. They don't hang around long when I have a party! If you don't have a food processor, just blend the ingredients with a pastry blender or two knives like you were making homemade pastry. Either way, they're a flaky sensation!
