- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups picante sauce
- 1 (15-ounce) can pinto or black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Tortilla chips
What to Do
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the onions; drain the liquid. Add the picante sauce, beans, and chili powder; bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato and olives; remove from the heat and sprinkle with the cheese. Spoon the sour cream over the center of the meat mixture, place a row of tortilla chips around the edge of the skillet, and serve immediately.
