- COOK TIME
- 20 Min
It's a hot dog...no, no, it's a burger. But we thought burgers were flat...! Okay, it's a burger in the shape of a hot dog - with the condiments baked right in!
What You'll Need
- 8 wooden or metal skewers
- 1 1/4 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoon ketchup
- 2 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 cup sweet relish
- 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
What to Do
-
Soak wooden skewers in water 15 to 20 minutes. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
-
In a medium-sized bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well.
-
Divide mixture into 8 equal amounts, forming each part into a hot dog shape about 6" long. Insert a skewer through center of each "hot dog" (like a popsicle). Cover and chill in refrigerator about 30 minutes or in freezer up to 10 minutes to help these keep their shape during grilling.
-
Place "hot dogs" across grill rack and grill 8 to 12 minutes, or until desired doneness, turning after 3 minutes, and turning occasionally during remainder of grilling.
Notes
Sure, there's ketchup and mustard already grilled into these, but you can always use more for topping.
