Don't let this recipe make you feel guilty?guilty that you didn't slave for hours in the kitchen!! Just throw everything in the dish, stick it in the oven, and forget about it until it's time to add the mushrooms!
What You'll Need
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 pounds boneless chuck roast, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 (16-ounce) bag baby carrots
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup thinly sliced celery
- 1 cup dry red wine or beef broth
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
What to Do
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Combine flour and soy sauce in a 3-quart baking dish. Add beef; toss to coat.
- Add carrots and next 8 ingredients. Cover and bake 1 hour.
- Add mushrooms; cover and back 2 more hours. Serve over rice, noodles, or toast points.
