What You'll Need
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup bottled steak sauce
- 1 (4 pound) rump roast
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
What to Do
- Preheat the oven to 350 degree F.
- In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, black and cayenne peppers, and the steak sauce.
- In an 8-inch square baking dish, brush the sauce mixture generously over the roast. Place the sliced onions on top and bake for 1-3/4 to 2 hours, or until desired doneness. Cut across the grain.
Notes
Have some leftover roast on rye bread for really great sandwiches.
