Cheddar Muffins

These cheesy muffins topped with golden sesame seeds will bring the bread basket center stage. Serve 'em warm straight from the oven and watch 'em disappear!
What You'll Need
- 2 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 1/2 cup biscuit mix
- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in small skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion; saute 3 minutes or until tender. Combine onion mixture, biscuit mix, and 1/2 cup cheese in medium bowl; make a well in center of mixture. Combine milk and egg; pour into well, stirring just until moistened.
- Spoon batter into greased muffin pans, filling half full. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and sesame seeds. Dot with remaining 1 tablespoon butter. Bake 13 minutes or until muffins are golden. Remove from pans immediately.
