This fancy French bread makes a perfect partner for a steak! A little red wine flavors the garlic butter just right for a meat and potatoes loving guy like me! And you can pour up the rest of the wine for dinner!
What You'll Need
- 1 (16-ounce) loaf French bread
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
What to Do
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cut bread into 1-inch slices, cutting to, but not through, bottom of loaf; place loaf on an ungreased baking sheet. Combine butter and remaining 4 ingredients in a small bowl; stir well (wine will not blend completely).
- Spread mixture evenly on each side of bread slices. Bake loaf, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
