What You'll Need
- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 loaf Italian or French bread, split lengthwise
What to Do
- Preheat broiler.
- In a large bowl, combine cheeses, mayonnaise, and garlic powder. Spread on bread and broil 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese top is golden and bubbly. Slice and serve immediately.
Options
Add flavor excitement by sprinkling the top of the bread with basil or rosemary. You can even top this with sliced tomatoes, a drizzle of prepared pesto sauce and some more cheese before broiling. Mmm!

Mayo.. really? Never seen garlic bread made this way, but may have to try it. Will substitute fresh minced garlic though :) I'll miss my butter, so thinking maybe I can still replace part of the mayo with some melted butter..
