Toasted Garlic Slices

They're appetizers - no, no, they're dinner "go-alongs"...Well, it doesn't matter what you call them, 'cause they're ready to eat in just minutes, and the grill gives them a nice smoky taste that'll keep the gang coming back for more!
What You'll Need
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 loaf (1 pound) French or Italian bread, cut in half lengthwise
What to Do
- Preheat the grill to medium heat.
- Place the melted butter in a small bowl. Stir in the garlic powder and salt. Brush the mixture over the cut sides of the bread, then grill the bread, cut sides down, for 5 to 7 minutes with the grill cover closed, until the bread is crispy and golden.
- Remove from the heat and cut diagonally into 1-inch slices.
Notes
Why not cut the bread into larger pieces and use it instead of buns for your favorite hamburgers? Yummy!
