Chicken and Sausage

In the mood for a quick skillet dinner that tastes like it cooked all day? Chicken and Sausage will hit the spot!

What You'll Need

  • 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into strips
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage, casing removed, crumbled
  • 1 medium-sized green bell pepper, cut into 2-inch strips
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (11-1/8-ounce) can Italian-style tomato soup
  • 1 cup water

What to Do

  1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken, and cook until browned. Remove chicken; set aside. Reduce heat to medium.
     
  2. In the same skillet, cook sausage, green pepper, and garlic, stirring until sausage is browned and pepper is tender. Spoon off fat.
     
  3. Stir in soup and water. Heat to boiling then return chicken to skillet. Reduce heat to low. Cover, cook 6 to 7 more minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink, stirring occasionally.

     

Note
