These chewy chocolate cookies are sure to become a standard in your cookie jar! If you're someone who likes his or her cookies to be ooey, gooey, and chewy, then these decadent chocolate treats are for you. Grab a big ol' glass of milk and get ready for some prime time cookie dipping action!
What You'll Need
- 1 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cup al-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 cup chopped pecans
What to Do
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter at medium speed of an electric beater until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs and vanilla, beating until well blended.
- Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; gradually add to butter mixture, beating at low speed after each addition until blended. Stir in pecans. Shape dough into 1-1/2-inch balls, and place on lightly greased baking sheets.
- Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool in pan 1 minute; remove to wire racks to cool.
Notes
Turn these oversized cookies into ice cream sandwiches by spreading 1/4 cup softened vanilla ice cream between them when cooled. Wrap individually, and freeze until firm.
