What You'll Need
- 1 package (7 ounces) chocolate caramel candies (about 1 cup)
- 2 packages (6 ounces each) large dried apricots
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup finely chopped toasted almonds
What to Do
- In a small heavy saucepan, heat the candies and cream over low heat, stirring frequently, until melted.
- Carefully dip 2/3 of each apricot in the melted chocolate then in the nuts. Place the apricots in a single layer on a cookie sheet that has been lined with waxed paper.
- Chill until the chocolate is firm. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container in layers separated by waxed paper.
Makes 20 to 24 pieces.
