Harvest Apples and Pears

Sometimes you want something homemade yummy but need to take a shortcut...Well, this one has all the homemade taste you're looking for, and it's ready in a jiffy!
What You'll Need
- 1 can (16 ounces) pear halves in syrup
- 1 jar (about 24 ounces) chunky-style applesauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 2 tablespoons honey
What to Do
- Drain the pears and save the juice for another use. Chop the pears and place in a large saucepan; add the remaining ingredients and cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, until hot and bubbly. Serve hot or store covered and chilled until ready to serve.
Notes
What a great way to use up overripe or bruised fresh pears. Just remove the skins, core them, and chop them as above.
