Spiced Pickled Peaches

Do you know what T-A-N-G-Y spells because these guys are exactly that... tangy! These Spiced Pickled Peaches probably sound a little far out but once you take your first bite you'll be smitten!
What You'll Need
- 1 (29-ounce) can peach halves in heavy syrup, drained and syrup reserved
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon whole allspice
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- lettuce leaves
What to Do
- Combine peach syrup, vinegar, and next 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; boil 5 minutes. Add peaches; reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Let cool completely. Cover and chill 8 hours. Drain, discarding spices.
- Serve peaches on lettuce-lined salad plates.
Notes
Serve these peaches as a tangy side dish or on a bed of lettuce as a light salad.
