Simmering Cider

Serve this old-fashioned warm mulled cider for any autumn get-together to take the chill off when the mercury drops. Don't forget the cinnamon sticks for a classic presentation that's sure to be a favorite.

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 gallon apple cider
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 oranges, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 2 lemons, cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 4 cinnamon sticks

What to Do

  1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients; mix well. Cover and simmer over low heat 30 minutes. Serve warm.

Serving Tip

If you keep this in a slow cooker, it should stay nice and warm for hours.
