Who can resist the taste of honey? We bet this chicken will have your gang buzzin' when you serve up this honey of a dish!
What You'll Need
- 1 (3- to 4-pound) chicken, cut into 8 pieces
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
What to Do
- Preheat the grill to medium heat. Coat a microwave-safe 9" x 13" baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place the chicken pieces in the baking dish and microwave at 80% power for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; mix well then set aside half of the honey-barbecue sauce. Brush the other half of the sauce over the chicken then grill it for 5 minutes. Turn the chicken, brushing again with the sauce, and grill for 5 minutes, or until no pink remains and the juices run clear. Serve topped with the reserved honey-barbecue sauce.
Notes
Honey caramelizes at high temperatures, so make sure your grill fire isn't too hot, or the honey in the sauce will caramelize and burn the outside of the chicken.
