Chocolate Glaze

I don't know about you, but I think one of the prettiest ways to decorate a cake is to simply drizzle glaze over the top. Boy, this Chocolate Glaze tastes just as good as it looks.
What You'll Need
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 ounce (½ square) unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
What to Do
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, water, and chocolate over low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is thickened, bubbly, and smooth. Remove from the heat, stir in the vanilla and use immediately.
Makes 1/2 cup.
