Pots de Creme is a fancy French dessert of creamy pudding that's often served in special little porcelain cups or tiny pots with lids. My version boasts just 4 ingredients and requires only a saucepan and a few utensils. Easy and yummy...superb!
What You'll Need
- 1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/2 cup half-and-half
- 2 egg yolks
What to Do
- Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring constantly.
- Beat egg yolks until thick and pale. Gradually stir about 1/4 of hot mixture into yolks; add to remaining hot mixture in saucepan, stirring constantly.
- Cook over low heat 2 minutes or until mixture thickens slightly, stirring constantly. Spoon into individual pots de creme cups or custard cups. Cover and chill.
