What You'll Need
- 3 large eggs, separated
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
What to Do
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine egg yolks and next 6 ingredients, stirring well.
- Beat egg whites at high speed of an electric beater until stiff peaks form; fold into crumb mixture. Spoon into a greased and floured 9-inch pie plate.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden.
Notes
This brownie-like torte will stick to the pie plate, so don't try to turn it out onto a cake plate. Just spoon it up and take individual servings to the table. Wanna make something good even better? Try topping each serving with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream.
