If you're "plum"-ready for a sweet surprise, try out this tempting treat! And look - only four ingredients and you're on your way.
What You'll Need
- 1 (16.5-ounce) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1 (4-serving size) package instant vanilla pudding and pie filling
- 1 1/2 cup cold milk
- 6 Italian plums, pitted and cut into wedges (see Note)
What to Do
- Preheat the oven to 350 degree F. Coat a 12-inch pizza pan with nonstick cooking spray. Using your hands, roll the cookie dough into a ball and press evenly into the pizza pan, pressing the dough out to the edges of the pan; flour your hands if the dough becomes too sticky. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, or until golden brown; let cool.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk the pudding mix and milk for 1 to 2 minutes, or until thickened. Chill for 15 to 20 minutes then spread the pudding over the cooled cookie crust.
- Arrange the plum wedges evenly over the top and serve, or cover and keep chilled until ready to serve
Notes
If Italian plums aren't in season, any type of plum will do. Oh - Italian plums are an oval-shaped deep purple late-summer fruit.
