No Fuss Chocolate Mousse

They always say the word dessert has the double "s" because you'll always want seconds. Well, this No Fuss Chocolate Mousse is certainly proof of that!

What You'll Need

  • 5 (1-ounce) semisweet chocolate squares, chopped
  • 1 1/4 cup whipping cream

What to Do

  1. Combine chocolate and whipping cream in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat, and cool completely. Transfer mixture to a mixing bowl; cover and chill at least 8 hours.

  2. Just before serving, beat chocolate mixture at medium-high speed of an electric beater until mixture thickens to desired consistency. Spoon into individual dessert dishes.

Notes

For an added flavor boost, stir 1 to 2 teaspoons coffee liqueur or orange liqueur into the melted chocolate mixture.
