In our opinion, this is the ideal autumn dessert 'cause that's when pears are abundant. And when they are, so are the compliments for this fruity dessert with the crowning touch of creamy cinnamon Romanoff sauce.
What You'll Need
- 3 pears, halved and cored
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Place pears cut-side up in a 9- x 13-inch baking dish then sprinkle with brown sugar and cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until tender; let cool.
- In a small bowl, with an electric beater on medium speed, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until creamy. Add milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and ginger; beat 3 to 4 minutes, until smooth.
- Place pears on a serving platter and drizzle with cream cheese mixture. Cover loosely and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
