Chocolate on Chocolate Pie

Whether you prefer to make your own pie shell or buy a prepared one, you'll love our Chocolate on Chocolate Pie. If its name doesn't entice you enough, just wait 'til you see how easy it is to prepare!

What You'll Need

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 tablespoon (1 stick) unsalted butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch chocolate pie shell

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine sugar, butter, cornstarch, eggs and vanilla extract in a large bowl; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
  2. Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake until the filling begins to pull away from sides of crust, about 40 minutes. Cool completely on rack.
  3. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or whipped topping and a drizzle of chocolate syrup if desired.

Notes

Use your own homemade pie shell or buy one already prepared, whatever you prefer.
