Fire up the barbie because these Swiss Ham Kabobs are yum-my! Turn leftover ham into a feast as kabobs grilled with pineapple and Swiss cheese and topped with a tangy orange marmalade sauce.
What You'll Need
- 1 (20-ounce) can pineapple chunks in juice, drained with 2 tablespoons juice reserved
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 pound cooked ham, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 ounce Swiss cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
What to Do
-
Combine reserved 2 tablespoons pineapple juice, marmalade, mustard, and cloves; stir well with a wire whisk. Set mixture aside.
-
Preheat grill. Alternately thread ham, cheese, ham, and pineapple chunks on 6 (12-inch) skewers. (Cheese cubes must be between and touching ham to prevent rapid melting.) Place kabobs on grill rack. Brush with marmalade mixture. Grill, uncovered, over medium-high heat (350 to 400 degrees) 3 to 4 minutes or until cheese is partially melted and ham is lightly browned, brushing often with marmalade mixture. Serve kabobs immediately.
