Praline Sweet Potatoes

This dish is so sweet, you'll wonder if you're eating dessert! It's a great choice with ham or turkey. And who says you can't eat dessert first?!
What You'll Need
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 1/2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons water
What to Do

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sweet potatoes; cover and cook 10 minutes or until golden. Flip potato slices; cover and cook an additinal 10 minutes.

Add sugar and next 3 ingredients to skillet, tossing to coat. Add water, stirring to loosen particles from bottom of skillet. Cook 5 minutes or until potatoes are glazed and tender.

I use butternut squash instead of sweet potatoes and it is delicious. However I do not add any water and I love this when cooking out on the grill and I prepare mine on the grills side burner.
