Our recipe for Creamy Rice Pudding is the creamiest rice pudding you'll ever taste! A bit of butter and other tasty add-ins make this version unbelievably delicious!
What You'll Need
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 2 cup milk, divided
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
What to Do
- In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Stir in rice, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- In a separate saucepan, combine cooked rice, 1-1/2 cups milk, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook over medium heat until thick and creamy, 18 to 20 minutes. Stir in remaining 1/2 cup milk, egg, and raisins, if desired. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until it begins to thicken up, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and slowly stir in the butter and vanilla.
