Walnut Maple Syrup

Plain maple syrup is fine, but it's what everybody expects will be served with their pancakes. Our easy Walnut Maple syrup will be the talk of your breakfast or brunch table.
What You'll Need
- 3 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
What to Do
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the walnuts and brown for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the maple syrup and vanilla; mix well.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, or until heated through, stirring occasionally. Serve warm.
- Store leftover sauce in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator.
Notes
This can be made ahead of time and kept chilled for up to two weeks.
