If you're looking for a fall lunch recipe that'll really get you in the seasonal spirit, then our Curried Tuna Apple Sandwich is just what you've been looking to find! We love the combination of tuna and apple since it captures that homestyle taste we love with a refreshing edge. Don't bring an ordinary tuna salad sandwich to work; try something a little more exciting instead!
What You'll Need
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 (6-ounce) can albacore tuna, drained
- 1 small Granny Smith apple, chopped
- 1 celery rib, chopped
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 2 tablespoons diced onion
- 6 whole grain bread slices
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
What to Do
- Stir together first 4 ingredients. Stir in tuna and next 4 ingredients. Spread mixture on whole grain bread.
Notes
Albacore is the mildest tuna and is the only type that can be called "white." It's also worth the added expense, so don't substitute since chunks of tuna are the main attraction in the sandwich.

I have never tried curry with tuna but sometimes things go together that you just couldn't imagine. I like Penzy's light curry, "for beginners", lol, so maybe I'll try a little of that in this recipe.
