Sweet Sloppy Joes? Bet you never thought to add sugar to ground beef, but in this recipe, we think it makes the meat taste even better!
What You'll Need
- 1 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 small green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 (10-3/4-ounce) can tomato soup, undiluted
- 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (see Note)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 sesame seed hamburger buns, toasted
What to Do
-
Cook first 3 ingredients in a large skillet, stirring until beef crumbles and is no longer pink; drain.
-
Stir in soup and next 6 ingredients; simmer 10 to 15 minutes, stirring often, Serve on toasted buns.
Notes
If sweet Sloppy Joes aren't your thing, simply omit the brown sugar. They'll still taste great!
