What You'll Need

  • 24 Mahogany, littleneck, or cherrystone clams, soaked in ice water for 30 minutes

What to Do

  1. Preheat the grill to high heat. Place the clams on the grill racks (yes, right on the grill racks) and close the grill cover. Cook for 7 to 9 minutes, or until the clams open wide. Discard any clams that do not open by themselves.
