- COOK TIME
- 10 Min
If you've never tried this, now's the perfect time. Rich and creamy, this seafood stew is truly supreme!
What You'll Need
- 8 (½-gallon) cups milk
- 1 stick butter
- 2 (8-ounce) containers shucked fresh oysters, rinsed and drained (see Note)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
What to Do
- In a soup pot, combine the milk and butter over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the butter is melted.
- Add the remaining ingredients and cook for 4 to 6 minutes, or until the oysters are firm and cooked through and the stew is hot.
Notes
I think that oyster crackers must have been invented to go along with this stew! Even if they weren't, I still like to serve plenty of them with it.

To pep up the flavor ,I use celery salt(in place of regular salt) and ground thyme . Delicious.
