Pecans Bertolli

Here's a great snack that will keep in the refrigerator for weeks or the freezer for months. You'll always be ready for entertaining. And here's a thought: they'd make a really nice house gift in a pretty tin or jar - just add ribbons!

What You'll Need

  • 6 cup pecan halves (1 4-ounce can is 1 cup)
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

What to Do

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring often, until liquid disappears and nuts have a glazed appearance. Pour onto a greased sheet pan.
     
  2. Using 2 forks, quickly separate and spread out nuts. Let cool completely.
     
  3. Store in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator or freezer.
