Easy Pickled Beets

Turn canned beets into homemade pickled beets in no time with this recipe for Easy Pickled Beets. If you've never made pickled beets from canned beets, then you're in for a real surprise, because these tastes just as good, but are a whole lot quicker and easier. Serve alongside your favorite main dishes for a real treat!
What You'll Need
- 1 (15-ounce) can sliced beets, drained
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 whole cloves
What to Do
- In a medium-sized saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil over high heat. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.
- Transfer to an airtight container and chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
If you'd rather, you can finely dice the onions instead of slicing them. Do it whichever way your gang likes best.

thank you! my daughter loves pickled eggs. i used to have a wonderful easy recipe to make pickled eggs in the microwave, but have lost that recipe over the years.

can you add hard boiled eggs to this to make pickled eggs?

I am sure you could but if using in that manner you should not drain the beets as you want the beet liquid to color the eggs. I would also suggest doubling the ingredients as that amount of liquid would not submerge very many eggs.
