    • 1 cup water

    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 (9-ounce) package tortilla chips, coarsely crushed
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Colby Jack cheese

    What to Do

    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Coat a 1-1/2-quart casserole dish with cooking spray.

    2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef and onion 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce, water, chili powder. garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix well. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 2 to 3 minutes, or until thickened.

    3. Spread half the beef mixture in casserole dish then top with half the crushed tortilla chips, half the sour cream, and half the cheese. Repeat layers one more time, ending with cheese.

I made this last week and my family loved it but I make some tweaks I uses Greek yogurt instead of sour cream and Dorito's instead of tortilla chips. It was so yummy. We are having it again tonight but I'm going to do taco meat with it this time.

I did not care for this, but my family thought it was good. I found it to be too dry and lacking in flavor.

I followed the recipe as printed and this was so dry even my husband, who hardly ever says negative remarks on my new recipes, said don't make this again.

TEXASIZE THIS, instead of chili use a dry taaco, same difference!!! As U cook meat add yr Fav ROTEL, ifin u find pepper jack cheese add spice!!!!!!

    Simple and awesome!
