This lip smackin' Two-Step BBQ Chicken goes easily from our oven to our grill for a smoky flavored, moist and juicy way to have perfectly cooked barbecued chicken from the inside-out.
What You'll Need
- 1 (3- to 3-1/2-pound) chicken, cut into 8 pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 cup honey
- 1 chipotle pepper in sauce, finely chopped
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Coat a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Place chicken on baking sheet and sprinkle evenly with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Cook 45 to 55 minutes, or until no pink remains.
- Preheat grill to medium heat. In a medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Brush chicken with barbecue sauce mixture and grill 5 minutes. Turn chicken, brush again with sauce, and grill 5 additional minutes, or until chicken is crispy and sauce is caramelized.
Notes
- Weather not cooperating or just don't feel like using the grill? No problem! Simply slather this sauce on the baked chicken and place under the broiler for a few minutes, just until it begins to caramelize.

It does look like a good recipe... they can't post nutrition info because there are simply too many variables based on which sauces you select to use.

I calculate nutrition data for recipes on this site via the Recipe Calculator at SparkPeople [ http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calculator.asp ]. It's a bit tedious until you get used to it, especially the quantity conversions, but on the upside YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER AT THE SITE to use the Calculator, so you won't get inundated with junk email. For example, assuming all chicken thighs and Sweet Baby Ray BB Sauce (original flavor) this recipe weighs in at (per serving): Calories 438.7, Total Fat 1.3g, Saturated Fat 0.3g, Polyunsaturated Fat 0.3g, Monounsaturated Fat 0.4g, Cholesterol 25.5mg, Sodium 935.6mg, Potassium 118.5mg, Total Carbohydrate 104.5g, Dietary Fiber 0.2g, Sugars 101.6g, Protein 6.5g, Vitamin A 0.4%, Vitamin B-12 1.8%, Vitamin B-6 6.1%, Vitamin C 12.8%, Vitamin D 0.0%, Vitamin E 0.5%, Calcium 0.9%, Copper 2.7%, Folate 1.2%, Iron 4.2%, Magnesium 2.4%, Manganese 4.5%, Niacin 10.3%, Pantothenic Acid 4.4%, Phosphorus 5.6%, Riboflavin 5.3%, Selenium 6.9%, Thiamin 1.6%, Zinc 5.2%
