Fruit slices add a tangy flavor to this sweet autumn favorite. Make up a big bowl of Mulled Cider and serve at your next fall party!
What You'll Need
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 -1/2 teaspoons whole allspice
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 navel orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 cup rum, optional
What to Do
- In a soup pot, combine cider, cinnamon sticks, allspice, cloves, and fruit slices, and bring mixture to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer for 45 minutes. Add rum, if desired.
- Discard spices and fruit slices, and serve warm.
