Question If I add coconut chopped walnuts, will it make this a Geman Chocolate Cake frosting? Should the coconut be toasted? How much coconut chopped nuts should I add to accomplish this?

I love the simplicity of this recipe however, each time I've made it, it turns out to be runny. I've let it cool down and I've tried waiting until it is cold. Same results "runny."

Hello! To combat the "runny" results you're getting, we recommend that you use less milk. You should use 2 tablespoons of milk, and be sure to bring this to a boil each time. Hope this was helpful, enjoy!

Excellent. Browning the butter made it perfect. I did end up adding just a bit more milk though. (Used evaporated milk).

Brown the butter slightly before adding the brown sugar, it lends added depth to the flavor.
