If you followed the unbelievably aromatic smoke to Savannah or Charleston, it would lead you to a barbecue like you've never seen. Boy, do they serve up lots of good barbecue there, just like this. Oh, right before you take these ribs off the grill, slather them with your favorite barbecue sauce. Mmm, mmm...it's lip-smackin' good!
What You'll Need
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 5 to 6 pounds country-style pork ribs
What to Do
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. In a small bowl, combine the water, vinegar, oil, and sugar; mix well. Place the ribs in a 9" x 13" baking dish that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray.
- Pour the vinegar mixture over the ribs and bake for 1 3/4 to 2 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
- Remove from the liquid and cut into individual ribs.
Notes
Top these with sweet barbecue sauce, or any of your favorite sauces.
