Sea salt really just adds the perfect amount of flavor to a potato recipe, doesn't it? We love these Sea Salt Potato Crisps more than any ol' fries 'cause they're not only heartier, but since you're making them yourself, you can make them just the way you like it. Whether you pair these with grilled burgers at a summer cookout or with a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch, this potato recipe is a must-make favorite.
What You'll Need
- 6 baking potatoes
- Cooking spray
- Sea salt for sprinkling
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Place potatoes on a baking sheet and coat each potato with cooking spray on all sides. Sprinkle with sea salt.
- Bake 45 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 10 to 15 minutes. Cut potatoes in half lengthwise and hollow out each half with a spoon, leaving some potato around edge. Cut each potato half into 2 to 3 strips, and return to baking sheet. Spray with cooking spray and sprinkle inside of potato with sea salt.
- Bake an additional 10 to 15 minutes, or until crisp.
Notes
- Save the scooped out potato for another purpose.

I swap around ways to make these. Leave out the salt and instead use extra sharp cheddar, or use pepper jack cheese or use parmesan and dip in marinara sauce! Sometimes when I make the cheddar or pepper jack version I also sprinkle with cooked crumbled bacon...YUM!
