This is one of those recipes where you take the first bite and think, "Hmmm, I'm not sure about this." But then you take a second bite and suddenly you find yourself taking a second helping because it's pretty darn good. I would cut back on the sugar a bit the next time I make it, but there will definitely be a second time because all in all, it was really good.

Awesome! made this and cooked in crockpot... will defiantly make again!

I made the sauce and threw the whole works in the crock pot for about five hours. Also threw in some red pepper flakes. Wow delicious!

This was a great, very easy recipe that used everything i had on hand. Dinner was super fast and a very pleasant surprise.

These are so good on top of Mr. Food's recipe for fried rice.

Great flavor!

Oh Wow! Terrific recipe! Everyone loves this and I've had many request for the recipe; I don't take credit, give all credit to "Mr. Food's Team"!!! The sauce is also great with 'mashed potatoes' :<) This is a keeper for sure! The 'sauce' is great even with turkey! Thanks so much for all your "tasty, easy, and affordable recipes"!!! Sincerely, 'little ole' Ohio cook'

Thank you for your comment. We're so glad to hear you love this recipe! :)

This is a big hit!!! Even better the next day for lunch!

Looks great. But I'm on a diet, trying to lose weight. Can or will you post nutrition information with your recipes please.

Love, love, love!!!! Easiest and best sauce I've ever made. Chicken is fork tender!! Definitely a BIG keeper!

Well, I had some thighs, this recipie sounds delicious! Can't wait to try.

This is the best recipe ever! The bbq sauce is amazing. I found that just simmering for awhile helps the sauce thicken up, it gets raves from all the family and whoever I share it with. Will be having it tomorrow for lunch on a bun! Oh, yeah!

We love this recipe. I have even made the sauce and poured it over pulled chicken. Served on a bun. Yummy. Thank you Mr. Food

Very good

Can't wait to try this one!!!! I will do it with noodles (my 3 yr old) loves noodles lol has anyone tried it this way? Will add a salad on the side .

I have made this recipe many times and we absolutely love it. I have not changed a thing. I love the idea to save and freeze the left over sauce to add to a soup.

Mind turned out way too thin. I did add a pinch of cinnamon. Next time: I will change to only 1/3 cup water. Will add 2 Tblsp. cornstarch. Hopefully, it will thicken. The sauce tastes great, and the chicken thighs are very tender.

This is an exceptionally easy and great tasting dinner. I have fixed it for numerous different people and they all loved it.

This recipe is realy good . I had leftover sauce , so I froze it to use when I make veggie soup. excellent !!!

This one was good. Served over white rice and my picky teenagers had seconds!

This stuff is delicious! On the other hand you could put the sauce on a rubber tire and it would probably taste pretty good!

The recipe does not call for red wine vinegar-it calls for apple cider vinegar.

I DONT HAVE RED WINE VINEGAR CAN I USE A SUBSTITUTE?

The recipe sounds tasty. But I'm wondering why the pieces of chicken in the photo appear so thin-were they pounded until they were thin?

I made this dish several times, and everytime it is a big hit !

i've heard of turkey spareribs - but this has got to be tastier

WOW ! Different and Delicious!

I have made this recipe for years. It is a favorite, although I first received it with apple juice as one of the ingredients. Now i guess i can make it without having apple juice on hand. Have had to give it out to friends.

It also works with drumsticks.

I have been making this recipe for years...Long before the internet. At that time it called for 1/4 cup of apple juice and 1/2 cup of water. Have made it for family and also for company and passed this recipe on. Wondered when I might see it online. First time !

I saw this recipe on TV and had to try it. Since then it is a must have in my home. Family absolutely loves it!! It is so cheap and easy and cures my craving for chinese food. I serve it with some fried rice and its the absolute comfort food. Plus you get to control what goes into it, instead of take out where there are so many additives.

easy and quick

In answer to ghbseymour 5977839 and mlmccr. Some of the recipes are pretty well written, BUT others are very lacking on directions. Suggest you ask for the EXACT recipe the test kitchen used to try the food for the ammount ( and type ) of ingrediants. Then you get to improvise ( experioment ) with the recipe. I, for one love trying to adapt them to a LIVE FIRE GRILL.

I had a hard time finding this recipe through WBOC. com Saw your video but ingredients and directions were not there. Also tried your website for Chicken spareribs, no results. Finally tried chicken thighs. Hard on the patience.

In list of ingredients /+ is used for the amount for water, soy sauce and ginger.
