Yes, get ready to do a double take with this recipe photo. Rather than making traditional Bruschetta like everyone else, we kicked ours up a notch and used fresh Florida Strawberries as the star of these. When teamed up with the creamy goat cheese and the balsamic glaze, get ready for a treat that will soon become a new anytime favorite.
What You'll Need
- 1 (12-inch) French baguette, cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 1 1/2 cup finely diced fresh Florida strawberries
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 (4-ounce) log goat cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons slivered fresh basil
- Balsamic glaze for drizzling
- Sea salt for sprinkling
What to Do
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Place baguette slices on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until toasted.
- Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine strawberries and olive oil. Spread a layer of goat cheese on top of baguette slices. Place a spoonful of strawberry mixture on top, then garnish with basil. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and top with a sprinkle of sea salt. Enjoy!
