Beef stew on the grill?! Why not? It's your perfect answer to the flavors of hearty beef stew in less time than traditional stew recipes. What a super tailgating recipe idea too!
What You'll Need
- 8 wooden or metal skewers
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 to 1-1/4 pounds chuck roast, cut into 1-1/2- to 2-inch pieces
- 2 (15-ounce) cans whole white potatoes, drained
- 1 (16-ounce) package frozen whole baby carrots, thawed
- 1 (12-ounce) can or jar beef or brown gravy, warmed
What to Do
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 to 20 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, onion and garlic powders. Place meat, potatoes, and carrots in a large bowl and add seasoning mixture, tossing to coat meat and vegetables evenly.
- Thread meat, potatoes, and carrots alternately on the skewers and grill 10 to 12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat reaches the desired doneness. Remove kebabs to a platter and top with warm gravy. Serve immediately.
