Use more ground beef add some minced fresh garlic a beef bouillon cube and worcestershire sauce thin with milk or a little water for proper consistency

This recipe, after adding the soup, turned into the weirdest gray ball. After the addition of the sour cream, turned a gross white. I wanted so badly to get the brown color back.

I am so glad I found an easy stroganoff recipe. I am not sure about the bacon ingredient, but it does sound interesting. I love beef stroganoff served with a side dish of a vegetable like broccoli, and some bread and butter. This will make a great weeknight meal for my family.

Sounds good

I am some what lactose intolerant. what can I use instead of cream or sour cream? I have to have a good stomach in order to enjoy it. Robert D. Mowrey SSgt. USAF Ret. loxias@msn.com

Substitute sour cream or Greek yogurt for mayo.

Omit salt as the soup and bacon are salty, add other things as you like, this makes a recipe unique to you.

I've been making something like this for years. The bacon is unnecessary and even the wrong taste for this dish. Add some garlic and a splash or Worcestershire sauce and it will taste really authentic. About a tablespoon of red wine or even ketchup lends some richness.
