Just reading the title of this recipe before I knew I was under the candy tab, I got a lot of visual images. Did anybody else? Well, this is just some bark candy with stripes. I love it. It makes two pounds, even better!

What a pretty candy. I do not think any kind of candy needs to be pretty for the average person to it (I know it does not have to be for me) However, if you are making this for family or friends, presentation shows love. This is a I love you recipe, pretty.

Really good. Made mine thicker since I did not have the pan size listed. Had a hard time melting the semisweet chocolate chips. I had to add some milk to get it to be a thin enough to pour. Don't know why but I did buy the cheap brand of chips. Otherwise great.

I think this recipe looks great. And, it is a simple thing to whip up, since only takes a few ingredients and there is no baking.i agree this, would be perfect for school bake sales, and kids would love the cute name. I really like that the peanut butter and white chocolate are mixed together because I love white chocolate, but it is extremly rich and the peanut butter helps tone that down.

I love baking and cooking and I do have to say I am a creative person. This site has a lot of old time goodies that I just adore and am so happy to have recipes for. It is so fun to add new twist on old things and sometimes it is ok to leave things the way they are. Thanks for the great site and all the yummy things!! I can't wait to print off pages and add to my collection. I always make recp. different to make them mine or I let people know where they came from Orig.

I'd like to comment on a previous comment. If you don't like chocolate and you don't like peanut butter-make something else! But don't change all the basic ingredients and then complain that it does't taste right!

This look so good but I'm not a chocolate and peanut butter person. Can you use caramels in place of the peanut butter? Madelyn

I don't have a microwave. Can the white chocolate baking squares & the chocolate chips be melted another way?

You can use a double boiler, if you don't have one of those put a pan with water in it and get a bowl that will sit on top of the pan, boil the water, make sure the water doesn't touch the bottom of the bowl, it will give you the same affect.

Adding your favorite nuts would be great or use nuts, coconut as a topper before hardening. I guess the possibilities could be neverending!

When using the microwave for melting small amounts of chocolate, I usually go in 20 second increments, checking and stirring each time. This way, the chocolate doesn't have a chance to scortch.

I don't dare make this often because I can eat it all myself! The only "change" I make in this recipe is using crunchy peanut butter (store brand has bigger chunks of peanuts). And, as Mr Food says "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!"

I've been making this candy for years. You should make sure your bowl is room temperature or slightly warm or your chocolate won't melt and if you use this many chips you won't be able to taste anything but the chocolate. I use about 3 or 4 ounces.
