Chicken Magic Pasta
- SERVES
- 4
- COOK TIME
- 5 Min
The magic part of this dish comes from how fast it goes together and, just like any great magician, the best part is when the audience "Oohs" and "Aahs." We know they will when you present this chicken and pasta combo!
What You'll Need
- 1 pound linguine
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 9 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (10-ounce) package precooked sliced chicken
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
What to Do
- Cook linguine to desired doneness; drain and place in a large serving bowl.
- Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat; add garlic, and saute 5 minutes.
- Cool slightly, to prevent splattering, then stir in red pepper and salt. Gradually stir in chicken, broth, and thyme. Reduce heat to low and simmer until heated through.
- Toss with linguine, and serve.

My family loves this recipe! I have been making it since it was first aired on MrFood.I have tried to cut back on the oil but it comes out dry. It is quick, easy and reheats well if you have any leftovers.

This recipe looks interesting but certain aspects of it don't seem right. 9 Garlic Cloves and 3/4 cup olive oil seem excessive for number of servings and amount of pasta. Wondering if anyone has made this? I would like to but don't want to waste ingredients.

I agree. If /when I make this, I'll cut back extremely on the garlic and the oil.

Not too much oil or garlic as it sounds like a spinoff of a recipe my Sicilian friend makes only with no chicken. She just calls it "pasta with olive oil and garlic." She uses more than 9 cloves in hers and it's absolutely yummy.
