Chicken and Sausage

In the mood for a quick skillet dinner that tastes like it cooked all day? Chicken and Sausage will hit the spot!
What You'll Need
- 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into strips
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage, casing removed, crumbled
- 1 medium-sized green bell pepper, cut into 2-inch strips
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (11-1/8-ounce) can Italian-style tomato soup
- 1 cup water
What to Do
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken, and cook until browned. Remove chicken; set aside. Reduce heat to medium.
- In the same skillet, cook sausage, green pepper, and garlic, stirring until sausage is browned and pepper is tender. Spoon off fat.
- Stir in soup and water. Heat to boiling then return chicken to skillet. Reduce heat to low. Cover, cook 6 to 7 more minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
Note
