French Chicken Breasts in Wine Sauce

What You'll Need

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 can or jar (about 4 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes

What to Do

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat; add the chicken and cook for 6 to 8 minutes per side, or until browned on both sides. Add the remaining ingredients.

  2. Cover, reduce heat to low, and cook for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the chicken is fork-tender and no pink remains.
